Public Health Initiative Liberia (PHIL), Liberia Steering Committee representative: Joyce Kilikpo Jarwolo, Executive DirectorJoyce is a Public health professional with over 10 years of experience in the public health sector both at national and international levels. She has greatly contributed to strengthening community based health system and programs in Liberia as well as Haiti where she last served as Health Delegate for the Norwegian Red Cross and returned home to contribute toward strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system through the Public Health Initiative Liberia (PHIL), an organization she founded and now serves as the Executive Director. She is aa 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow, a flagship initiative of former President Barack Obama of the US, aimed at empowering upcoming young African leaders to lead with integrity and accountability. Joyce currently serves various national roles: board chair of the Liberia Immunization platform; leads the Liberia Health CSOs Network; the National NGO Representative on the Global Funds for HIV, TB and Malaria Coordinating Committee Mechanism; the CSO lead for the Global Financing Facility for Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Liberia. |
